In Celebration

In celebration of the New Year I will be posting several works from the past—handmade books and cases. Instructions for making these can be found in my book Books, Boxes & Wraps: Binding and Building Step-by-Step. 

Below are several pages from an edge sewn book, In Celebration: Our 50th Anniversary. The book created for my parents and used in their Anniversary Mass. The calligraphy and illustrations are in transparent watercolor, gouache and gold leaf.
