The Season of Joy!

past Christmas Trees
from some of my sketchbooks

I have been looking through some of my old sketchbooks today, one of the things I enjoy at the end of the year. Our family traditions center around Christmas in December. We have had thick fir trees and open spaced alpine fir trees. Each has its own magical feeling. The decorations are always the same, things collected over the years. These sketches are from trees in the 1980s.
          However you celebrate the season,
I wish you great blessings, peace and joy.

Hi Marilyn,
Thanks for the comment. As you can see, I'm new to all of this blogging but plan to start something soon. You're very good at it and it's great to make your acquaintance; now I see what a creative person does in snowy weather. Your paintings are really neat - almost a feeling of Fairfield Porter in some. I'll check in to see what you're doing from time to time. By the way, how did you come across my blog? The web is such a big world and a single blog - so tiny.
Thanks,
Ken

Thanks for your kind words, Ken.
Your name was listed in the side column on another site - I no longer remember which one. When I visit sites I enjoy, I will occasionally click on some of the names listed along the side. Often they lead to a wonderful suprise - like your site.
All the best,
Marilyn

Thank you Marilyn. I would like to become a follower of your blog too, but do not know how. What buttons did you click on to become a follower on mine so I can set up to follow yours? Hope this isn't too difficult to explain. I tried to follow the instructions but so far have had no luck.

Thanks,

Ken
